These are basic care instructions for this species based on my own experience in rearing.
Environment
Although a slightly dampened but mostly dry substrate is recommended water must be made available in the form of a bowl for drinking and humidity at all times. Slings will require a damp but not wet substrate, condensation is to be avoided.
Food
Adults will take small locusts, crickets and appropriately sized roaches such as adult turkistans. Spiderlings should be matched to fruitflies, micro crickets or baby turkistan roaches.
Substrate
Coir compost makes an ideal substrate, although dries out quickly and must be kept damp for spiderlings.
Reproduction
Females will fatten and show disinterest in food. Males should be introduced tentatively, either she will show immediate interest or will quickly become defensive. Courtship is interesting to watch, care must be taken to remove the male once he has copulated with the female.
The egg sack produced by the female will be nursed by her until the spiderlings emerge. They will proceed to ride on the female for the following week.
Spiderlings can be raised communally in fair sized container until 1cm in leg span as long as plenty of fruit flies are supplied. Once they have reached approx 1cm they should be housed individually to prevent cannibalism.
